The following terms and conditions govern business contracted with Grounded Solutions Ltd./Grounded Theory Online.
Bookings made by self-funding participants must be paid for 28 days prior to the start of their face-to-face or online seminar or workshop. If the booking is made within the 28 days prior to the start of the face-to-face or online seminar or workshop, payment will be due immediately. You can pay for your course using an online bank transfer (see our invoice for details) or by credit card.
We reserve the right to change our fees without notice but fee changes will only apply to future contracts.
We will email you confirmation of your place at the seminar or workshop, together with an invoice and the virtual or physical address will be sent when payment has been received. See also this seminar/workshop page for details of the seminar.
We recommend that participants do not make travel and accommodation arrangements before a face to face seminar or workshop has been confirmed and your place on it confirmed, and that if you are a self-funding participant, that you do make such arrangements before you have paid your seminar or workshop fee.
Grounded Solutions Ltd./Grounded Theory Online will not be liable for any expenses if a participant has booked any travel arrangements in the rare event that a course is cancelled or postponed.
If the participant fails to attend on any day of the seminar or workshop, we reserve the right to deny the participant access to the remainder of seminar or workshop. This is because these events rely on the development of swift trust between participants and non-attendance can disrupt its formation. In the event of your non-attendance and that we exercise our right, your booking will be deemed cancelled and if payment has been made no refund will be given. If payment has not been made, you will still need to pay your invoice. In exceptional circumstances we may be able to offer online mentoring in lieu.
Bookings for online support must be paid for in advance of the first online session. Any mentoring support purchased must be used within 6 months of the order date.
You have the right to cancel your contract for the preparation for, organisation of and provision of a face to face or online seminar or workshop, or for the provision of online support, within 14 days of making it without giving any reasons.
The cancellation period will expire at the end of 14 days after the day of the contract’s conclusion.
To cancel the contract within this 14 day cancellation period, you must inform us at Grounded Theory Online of your decision to cancel by sending a clear statement by email to helen.scott@groundedtheoryonline.com
You may use the attached cancellation form but it is not obligatory.
To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your cancellation email before the end of the cancellation period.
If you cancel this contract within the cancellation period and you have paid your invoice, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you. We will make the reimbursement without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we were informed about your decision to cancel the contract.
We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial payment unless you expressly agree otherwise.
If you request to begin the performance of services during the 14 day cancellation period, you shall only pay us an amount which is in proportion to the services which have been performed until the point when you communicated your cancellation, in comparison with the full coverage of the contract. Unless you have booked a place at a seminar or workshop and the event has already started in which case the section on ‘Non-attendance’ below, shall apply.
If you request to cancel the contract after your 14 day cancellation period has expired:
If we have to postpone or cancel a seminar or workshop for any reason at all, and if you have paid your invoice in full, you may request a refund of the seminar or workshop fee.
If we have to postpone or cancel online support, and if you have paid your invoice in full, a refund will be given which is in proportion to the services which have not been performed at the time of postponement or cancellation.
All liability by us will be limited to the value of the original seminar or workshop or mentoring fee and no other expenses incurred by any other means.
