From method to practice

A book to work with, as well as read.

Exercises, illustrations and a mini-project help you practise the analytical work as you learn. Examples from researchers show how to approach the questions and decisions that arise in a real study.

Develop your analysis

Work through constant comparison, conceptual coding, memoing and theoretical sampling.

Bring your theory together

Move from loosely connected categories to conceptual integration, then prepare your theory for writing.

Inform meaningful change

Develop explanations of what is happening for participants and identify practical levers of change.

For postgraduate researchers, supervisors, teachers of research and professionals across disciplines. The book is intended for researchers of different theoretical and ontological perspectives who seek to improve the situation of their participants.
