We adopt the model of the Grounded Theory Institute face to face seminars. There are two types of places for the online seminars: 'Practioner' and 'Observer'. As a Practioner you will be an active participant in the seminar and our aim will be to move you one step forward on your Grounded Theory journey. There will be
We aim for a supportive atmosphere and so it won’t be necessary to prepare a formal presentation – we anticipate more of a relaxed chat about what’s going on for you right now in your study. We will have the ability to share digital documents and software applications so if you have started data collection, and would like to work with your own data, please select 1- 3 pages of field notes and/or memos which relate to the issue(s) you want addressed. We anticipate spending 30 – 40 minutes on each Practioner. As an Observer, we hope that you will learn by observing the troubleshooting of other Grounded Theory studies and you are welcome to ask questions. The seminar fee for Practioners and Observers is normally £60 for students or £75 for faculty and the seminar will take up to 3 hours depending on numbers.
